In the mid 80's, cousins Aaron and Andrew set up their newly acquired instruments in a San Jose garage. Aaron with a set of Ludwig Rockers and no cymbals. Andrew, a knockoff Japanese SG bass and a shit practice amp. Scott, Aaron's best friend and classmate, got ready to sing directly into a boombox mic. Myck, Scott's brother, took a break from smokin cigs and hangin with chicks to push his Crate amp a few miles on his skateboard, Cort in hand. This day ruined all their lives, sending them on a never ending metal odyssey.

CAVETRAIN was formed in 2025 in the Santa Cruz Mountains by Andrew (AUTO), Aaron (AUTO, Ragweed), Scott (Ragweed, Frost Hammer) and Myck (PARABELLUM, DEMOCIDE, Perfect Dark). Their music is old school down tuned heavy mountain sludge. Their songs are inspired by local stories of ghost, monsters, and killers. Powered by old Peavey amps, down home cooking, strong coffee, mid shelf whiskey, and a shared love of heavy ass metal.
